On the first day of Christmas my true love gave to me......MAIL!

Hi there readers!! I finally stopped and picked up my mail! A few Christmas cards have made their way in to my box, along with postcards and a letter. Not to mention a surprise from a coworker! I got a few cards from Postcrossing, Walltype, and Swap-bot! I also have a few blogs to add to the side roll. Let's get started shall we?

As a surprise on my desk this morning a Santa Claus Mail box from one of my coworkers, thanks AG! And a little box from Stephanie in Kansas! Awesome 

 Jurgen sends a card from Cologne, from Terri in Las Vegas we have a great view of the New York Hotel and Casino on the strip, Ashley has greatly managed to combine my love of beer-Halloween-and postcards, and Sarah sends me a card from St. George Island in Florida!

 A Christmas card with a kitty cat from Erin, a wonderful vintage holiday card comes from my postcard-pall Pat, and Andrea comes a William Sommer painting called "Pompous Boy"

 Nepu sends me a card from her 20th wedding anniversary trip to Rome and Julie pulls at my seasonal heartstrings with some wonderful New Hampshire fall foliage. Thank you both!

 Two postcards came from Yanelis--swimming camels and a card from Tazmania. From Vidmante in Lithuania we have a Dear Santa letter and two tiny Christmas cards! :)

 A great card from Maryland and one of few that I have from Acadia National Park, Marley sends us greetings from Memphis (I love these kinds of cards), a beautiful coastal Portugal card comes from Paule, and finally for this batch Linda sends another awesome card from Modesto!

Two Christmas cards came in today (and both with my favorite Snowmen!!!!!) Thank you to Carolyn and JoAnna!

 Rosalie was kind enough to send 4 beautiful cards from NYC! Thank you I love them. The lion at the library is my favorite!

I put my mail in my Santa Claus Mail Box just for the heck of it. I'll defiantly have to use this as a decoration for the holidays!



A week full of awesome surprises if I do say so myself (and I do!). I don't know about you guys but I only have about three more Holiday cards to send out and a couple of swaps due! I think I'm going to spend the holiday period catching up on pen pal letters! I'll be back a bit later to update the blog roll! Make sure to get some mail out tomorrow!

I hope that everyone had a relaxing weekend and that Monday wasn't to hard on anybody ( I don't know about you all but the technology at my workplace defiantly knew it was Monday--can we say 5 computer restarts before 11:00 am?)

The good news is there were a few good pieces of mail to brighten my day!

Hello Hello! I hope that everyone has had a great week and that you are all setting up to have a great weekend. As promised I have pictures of the Thursday arrival goods and I got a few pretty awesome pieces in today to share with you all :) Let's get too it!

Arrivals today were all of the post card variety. My first card from a swap on  Swap-Bot arrived--the swap was a "senders choice" movie quotes which arrived with a quote from The Hangover and Dead and Breakfast-and to tie it all together, the card is the movie poster for Winter In Wartime.

The next four came from Walltype and featured HBO's series True Blood, beautiful flowers growing out of a mountain side and two from the French region of Normandy!!!

And as promised some pictures of my letter and cards from yesterday!

There was a good handful of outgoing postcards today thanks to the 6th Birthday of Postcrossing! Only one card to the states this time AND I got to send a couple of cards to countries that I never had before!

Monday Mail Bag!

Got a few pieces in the mail today (and they were accompanied with a paycheck, how bad can that be?)....3 postcards and an actual letter (yippppppieeeee!)

and from a Polish Postcrossing user named Patti, a scenic view of the museum near her town

The letter is from Limner over at Oh, Write Me! who I found while browsing for penpals, this is my first official letter back from someone; she was also kind enough to send me a lovely bag of tea! Don't worry dear, I'll be writing back ASAP! :)

Lots of outgoing mail today, mostly postcards but here is where they went......New York, New Jersey, Arkansas, California (x's 2), Minnesota, Texas, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Italy, Trinidad and Tobago, and Germany!

I'm getting some mail together to send out tomorrow. Some to Postcrossing, and letters to Limner and MissK! (I just have to stop and buy some more stamps after work!)

So here I am, 11pm on the 4th of July, after a day of food, fireworks, and writing, I decided to check my "stats" page (just for the heck of it....) and what do I discover? I have visitor traffic from a very familiar website!

First Card

Here is my first attempt at a card. I know it isn't exactly involved but I figured it would be best to start simple. I obviously need work with the glitter painting :D . Hopefully, Dana over at Save Snail Mail ( the lucky recipient--at least the letter is it self is good!) wont laugh to hard.

Unfortunately no mail circulated today, but here is a quick shot of what I am sending out to Postcrossing and Walltype* and a few letter lovers I have been talking to this weekend! Hopefully my mailbox will be full too! :)

I am going to try my hand at a home made card tonight...I'll let you know how it goes--good or bad!

Little Corner of Fun

Hello Hello! This is my first little blog (and first blog post). I have always had a love of getting things in the mail, especially hand written letters or notes from friends or family and I also love to send mailbox surprises. Recently I started using a website called "Postcrossing" to exchange random postcards with people all around the world; I thought I would do a little more exploration to see if other people out there enjoy getting real mail as much as I do--and low and behold I have hit on a goldmine of different people in different locations longing for a little something in their post box.

There are a few links on the side that I think you might find interesting, please bare with me while I get this up and going. I will do my best to let the world know what I'm sending or what I have gotten and to post any links or articles that I come across in my search!

I welcome letters, cards or surprises from anyone who would like to send one and I am more than happy to send you a little something too, just let me know!
